SUBway..........why different?

Today I decided to take lunch at Subway. Usually on friday Subway has short queue so I go there. It was sad that I had no friend to accompany me. I was sitting on the table that was exactly opposite to logo of Subway. I started observing the logo. After some time I noticed that it has arrow on first and last letter. Arrows at front and end made logo very balanced. There are two colors used. "Sub" is written in white and "way" is written in yellow. I wondered first why they used different color. I came to conclusion that using 2 different colors forced the people to remember the entire logo as consisting of 2 words. Moreover "sub" and "way" are very simple words. People use it often in day to day life. Great work Subway!
